There are two ways in which you can get your firmware updates:
Through OTA (Over the Air): Go to Settings > About phone > Software Update. Make sure that your battery is charged to minimum 85 %.
Using an application available for PCs. It's called KIES and is available on the Samsung website. You connect the phone to PC, the software informs you about the available updates and you can proceed with the operation.
Try to install Kies so that the drivers get installed correctly in your operating system. The problem with the manual driver installation is that sometimes it does not register the proper class making impossible for your phone to be installed. Use benefits of the automated installer and install the drivers from that application. Plug your phone, and wait for confirmation instructions, then everything will work normally.
It doesn't want to install and the installer has stucked. Can you help me?

I advise you to install Samsung drivers via the Kies application. If you use Samsung Support, you will receive the same answer: to install your phone's drivers via the Kies application. This is a PC Suite application which contains all that is necessary for your phone to be recognized and installed in your computer, as well as firmware updates, backup operations, etc.
